 Seven Warlords Battle Royale

The seven Warlords are a group of pirates who work for the marines. Their bounties get frozen and they no longer get hunted. They help keep the balance of the three powers of the world alongside the marines and the four emperors. But, what if they all suddenly turned against each other? What if they had an all out brawl? Who would come out on top and who would prove to have been a liability to the marines? Find out here on Salad's Battle Blog!

BEFORE WE START

I will be using the original Warlords. This means we are using Crocodile, Doflamingo, Boa Hancock, Jinbe, Gecko Moria, Mihawk and Bartholomew Kuma.

I will be taking their strength as they currently are in the manga as of writing this (Chapter 1120)

I will be using their respective VS Battles Wiki pages and Respect posts on r/respectthreads to help me with feats 

The battle will take place on an empty Marineford. The buildings are still there but they will be the only people there

Background

Sir Crocodile

Not much is actually known about him. He was first encountered in the Alabasta Saga after taking over the country of Alabasta and leading it to civil war. He was ultimately defeated by Luffy where he was put in Impel Down. However he managed to escape and he is now part of the Cross Guild with Buggy and Mihawk. He has a big secret that only Ivankov knows.

Donquixote Doflamingo

Doflamingo was born as a Celestial Dragon, the highest nobility in the world that allowed him to do virtually whatever he wanted. His father wanted to abandon that life and chose to live normally as regular people. However, upon learning that the family were Celestial Dragons, they were tied up and tortured and lost everything. Doflamingo, having had enough, shot his own father and went on to form the Donquixote pirates. Some time later he encountered a young Trafalgar Law and took him in. However, Law teamed up with Doflamingo's brother, Corazon, and ate the devil fruit Doflamingo wanted. Doflamingo proceeded to shoot Corazon and became a Warlord of the Sea where he took over the country of Dressrosa by manipulating their king. He was defeated by Luffy and is now serving time in Impel Down.

Boa Hancock

Boa Hancock was kidnapped by the Celestial Dragons when she was a child. She was enslaved and tortured for many years and was forcefully fed her devil fruit. However, a fishman named Fisher Tiger instigated a mass breakout and freed a bunch of slaves, Boa Hancock included. From there, she made her way back home and was raised on the island of Amazon Lily where she grew up to become the island's empress and she became a Warlord. Once the Warlords were disbanded, she was attacked by the marines and Blackbeard, but managed to survive thanks to the help of Rayleigh.

Jinbe

Jinbe is a fishman born on Fishman Island. He trained at a young age and joined the military. Soon after Fisher Tiger came back from freeing a bunch of slaves, he became wanted and Jinbe resigned from the military to join the Sun Pirates with Fisher Tiger. He battled many marines and often clashed head with a fellow crewmate, Arlong, over disputes. One day, Fisher Tiger was bringing a slave child, Koala, back home and he was brutally attacked by the humans who feared him for his appearance. Fisher Tiger soon passed and Jinbe took over as captain. He became a Warlord to strengthen the bond between humans and fishmen. He was arrested and put in Impel Down after refusing to help the government fight against Whitebeard but he soon escaped and is currently part of the Straw Hat pirates and is on Egghead, directly fighting the world government.

Gecko Moria

Gecko Moria was once a young upstart pirate with notoriety to his name. One day, he had a clash with Kaido and the Beast pirates. However, it didn't end well for Moria, as his entire crew was wiped out. After the events, he grew lazy and disconnected and used his devil fruit to create a powerful undead army in hopes of storming Wano and getting revenge on Kaido. He was promptly defeated by Luffy and was almost killed by Doflamingo on orders from the World Government. He managed to escape but is currently being imprisoned by the Blackbeard pirates after he failed to defeat them.

Mihawk

Not much is known about Mihawk. He began training with a sword and has very quickly raised to the rank of the World's Strongest Swordsman. He first appeared in the East Blue Saga where he overpowered Zoro. He spared Zoro however and told him to face him again when he's ready. Mihawk is currently part of the Cross Guild with Buggy and Crocodile.

Bartholomew Kuma

Kuma is part of the Buccaneer race. Because of this, he was taken in as a slave and tortured. He was to be part of a cruel game where he was to be killed as a sport for the Celestial Dragons, but thanks to the help of Ivankov and Ginny, he ate a devil fruit and freed all the slaves from the island. After escaping, he lived with Ginny and they joined the Revolutionary Army. Ginny was once again captured and died due to a disease she captured. However, she gave birth while captured and Kuma raised the baby as Jewellery Bonney. When Bonney contracted the disease however, he turned to the World Government for help and Bonney was cured in exchange for his life. He was turned into a cyborg called a Pacifista where his autonomy is gone and he works solely for the World Government. He was rescued by the Revolutionary Army but is now with the Straw Hats doing everything he can to protect Bonney.

Equipment

Crocodile

Hook

Crocodile has a large golden hook on his left hand made out of an extremely tough and resilient gold alloy. It is incredibly sharp and is capable of piercing through Luffy 

Poisonous Hook

Crocodile can remove the hook to reveal a poisonous hook. The poison is scorpion venom and is capable of melting rocks

Knife

Crocodile can remove his hook once again to reveal a small knife

Timer Bomb

Crocodile has a timer bomb that can detonate a maximum radius of five kilometres. The bomb is also on a backup timer of less than a minute

Doflamingo

Pistol

Doflamingo has a flintlock Pistol filled with lead ammunition 

Doflamingo uses a sword one time to execute King Riku 

Boa Hancock

Salome

Salome is the snake always by Boa. It hasn't been used in combat but it has a strong sense of smell and is an excellent swimmer

Jinbe

Trident

Jinbe wielded a trident when he was in the military

Tanto

During his fight with Ace, he was seen equipped with a tanto

Gecko Moria

Scissors

Moria has scissors that are used in tandem with his devil fruit to cut the shadows off people. These scissors can also be pulled apart to become two swords

Sword

Moria has used a sword in his younger days

Mihawk

Yoru 

Mihawk's main weapon is Yoru, the strongest black blade weapon in the world

Kogatana

Mihawk also has a small knife around his neck that he uses for foes not worthy of fighting against Yoru

Bartholomew Kuma

Kuma doesn't have any weapons unfortunately, everything he uses is part of his abilities section.

Abilities

Crocodile

Suna Suna No Mi (Sand Sand Fruit)

A logia type devil fruit that allows Crocodile to turn his body into sand. Regular attacks will phase through his sandy body. He is also able to absorb the moisture out of anything simply by touching it.

• Desert Spada - Sends out a fast moving blade of sand

• Desert Girasole - Forms a giant pit of quicksand

• Barján - He swings his right arm which is followed by a wave of sand

• Sables - Summons a massive sand tornado and sends it forwards. If it gets too big then Crocodile can't stop it

• Ground Secco - Places his hand on the ground and dries up the ground in a large area

• Ground Death - An upgraded version if Ground Secco that can dry up people and buildings

• Sables: Pesado - Throws a dense sandstorm at the opponent causing a massive shockwave

• Desert La Spada - Sends out multiple blades of sand

• Desert Grande Espada - Shoots out a large, extremely fast blade of sand

Doflamingo

Ito Ito No Mi (String String Fruit)

Doflamingo can create and manipulate strings. This string is incredibly sharp and it can latch onto others and control them.

Doflamingo has also awakened his fruit, meaning he can turn objects around him into string

• Parasite - Latches his strings onto someone and controls them

• Sora No Michi - Attaches strings to clouds and travels along them

• Goshikito - Slashes the target with five strings

• Overheat - Shoots out a thick rope of condensed string

• Tamaito - Fires a small bundle of strings from his finger

• Black Knight - Creates a copy of himself out of string

• Torikago - Creates a dome of string that slowly creeps inwards, cutting anything it comes in contact with

• Fulbright - Impales the target with five detached strings

• Kumo No Sugaki - Creates a Web of string that blocks incoming projectiles

• Itonoko - Attaches a string across his leg that acts as a saw

• Shufuku Sagyo - Repairs his internal organs using strings

• Athlete - Kicks the opponent with long strings

Awakened Techniques

• Break White - Creates two large sheets of string to wrap around the opponent 

• Off White - Attacks with two masses of string

• Billow White - Turns buildings into masses of string and attacks

• Ever White - Turns the surrounding area into string and attacks

• Flap Thread - After using Ever White, he creates as many sharp points as he can and infuses then with haki

• God Thread - Sends sixteen haki infused sharp string at the opponent

Haki

Doflamingo can use all three types of haki. He can use conqueror's haki to make people fall unconscious, armament haki to harden his body, allowing him to defend against attacks and hit logia type devil fruit users, and observation haki to sense his surroundings and oncoming attacks

Boa Hancock

Mero Mero No Mi (Love Love Fruit)

Boa can turn anyone into stone so long as they have some lust or love for her, or if they find her cute. She can also turn parts of a person to stone temporarily by kicking them

• Mero Mero Mellow - Sends hearts forward and anyone caught in it, gets turned to stone if they have impure thoughts of her

• Mezameyo - By blowing a kiss, she can turn anyone back to normal from stone

• Pistol Kiss - She fired a small heart shaped bullet

• Slave Arrow - Created a small heart and pulls it back like a bow, shooting out a barrage of arrows

• Perfume Femur - Performs a flurry of kicks, each one turning the opponent to stone

Haki

Boa has access to all three types of haki. Conqueror's haki to make people fall unconscious conscious, armament haki to block attacks and hit logias, and observation haki to sense her surroundings and oncoming attacks

Jinbe

Fishman Karate

Jinbe can use a martial arts technique called fishman karate to strike opponents with deadly attacks.

• Karakusagawara Seiken - Jinbe punches the enemy at a distance, sending the force of his attack through the water vapour in the air

• Gosenmaigawara Seiken - An incredibly deadly punch

• Yarinami - Attacks with a spear shaped water jet that can punch a hole in solid structures. Can only be used in the water

• Samehada Shotei - A palm block

• Samegawara Seiken - A palm thrust that sends a shock wave through the water in a person's body, bypassing defences

• Uchimizu - Throws droplets of water which become deadly bullets

• Nanasenmaigawara Mawashigeri - A roundhouse kick

• Fishman Karate Ogi: Buraikan - Shoots a powerful water shock wave at the opponent

• Soshark - Crushes anything he grabs

• Fishman Karate Ogi: Onigawara Seiken - Delivers a powerful punch that generates a black lighting shockwave

• Gosenmaigawara Shuto - Creates an impact performed in a straight line

Fishman Jujutsu

A martial arts technique that specializes in grappling and throwing.

• Mizugokoro - Grabs the water and pulls it like cloth

• Kairyu Ipponzeoi - Grabs the water and throws a large stream of it

• Uzushio Ipponzeoi - Grabs the opponent's arm and throws them over the shoulder

• Hikishio Ipponzeoi - Blocks and opponent's attack and throws them over his shoulder

• Kata Guruma - Throws someone over his shoulder and towards an opponent

Haki

Jinbe is capable of using two types of haki. Armament haki to block attacks and to hit logia devil fruit users, and observation haki to sense his surroundings and oncoming attacks

Gecko Moria

Kage Kage No Mi (Shadow Shadow Fruit)

Gecko Moria can control shadows. He is able to steal someone else's shadow and put it in someone else's body. If placed inside a dead person, they become a zombie with the personality of the shadow's owner. He can also absorb shadows to increase his power

• Doppelman - Moria creates a silhouette clone of himself using his shadow

• Kagemusha - Swaps places with his shadow clone

• Kage Giri - Grabs the person's shadow and cuts it off with his scissors

• Brick Bat - Turns his shadow clone into a swarm of bats

• Kage Kakumei - Changes the shape of someone's shadow, forcing their body to match the shape

• Shadow's Asgard - Absorbs all the shadows he has taken and increases his power and size

• Tsuno-Tokage - Moria Shoots out a spear shaped shadow at an opponent

Mihawk

Swordsmanship

Mihawk is an incredibly talented swordsman who holds the title for the World's Strongest Swordsman. He is able to use his sword that others can't. This includes sending out powerful compressed waves of energy with his blade, precisely cutting and deflecting bullets, and can even cut through steel easily

Haki

Mihawk can use two types of haki. Observation haki to sense his surroundings and oncoming attacks and armament haki to block attacks and hit logia type devil fruit users.

His mastery over haki has also turned Yoru into a permanent black blade

Bartholomew Kuma

Nikyu Nikyu No Mi (Paw Paw Fruit)

Kuma can repel anything that touches the paws on his hand. This includes non tangible objects such as pain or memories

• Pad Ho - Kuma repels the air, shooting it towards the opponent. Kuma claims this to be done at lightspeed

• Tsuppari Pad Ho - Fires multiple air pressure shots

• Puni - Uses his hands to repel an enemy attack

• Ursus Shock - Compresses a large amount of air into a tiny bubble and fires it at an opponent

Pacifista Modifications

Kuma has undergone modifications that have made him into a cyborg. His body is now more durable and his attacks are more potent and his speed has increased. He is fitted with a scanner to identify individuals, augmented hearing, the inability to feel pain, and he can fire laser beams that explode on contact.

Haki

Kuma is capable of using armament haki to block attacks and hit logia type devil fruit users

Feats

Crocodile 

Overall:

• Amassed a bounty of 1,965,000,000

• Created and ran the organisation known as Baroque Works

• Founded Cross Guild and co-leads it

• Took over the entire country of Alabasta

• Broke out of Impel Down

Strength:

• Impales Luffy with his hook

• Is able to clash with Doflamingo with no notable damage

• Is able to block Mihawk's attack with no notable damage

Durability:

• Is able to take multiple attacks from Luffy in an extended fight with him. He takes several attacks being caught off guard and still manages to fight in good shape

• Survives being punched through several dozen meters of bedrock

• Is fine after being dipped into boiling water

• Is able to take an attack from Diamond Jozu

Speed:

• Is able to keep up with and dodges Luffy's attacks in an extended fight with him

• Matched Doflamingo's speed

• Reacted to Jozu's attack

Doflamingo

Overall:

• Amassed a bounty of 340,000,000 (Frozen after becoming a Warlord)

• Took over the entire nation of Dressrosa

• Works under Kaido

• Has THE best drip in all of One Piece

Strength:

• Casually blocked Sanji's Diable Jambe

• Kicks hard enough to destroy three towers from the air pressure

• Clashes equally with Luffy

• Is able to keep up with and overpower Law

Durability:

• Is able to take any and all attacks from Law including Gamma Knife

• Is unaffected by any of Luffy's Gear 2 attacks

• Is able to take attacks from Gear 4 Luffy such as Kong Gun

• Survived being completely frozen by Aokiji and is more than fine afterwards

Speed:

• Reacts to a falling meteor

• Faster than Gear 2 Luffy

• Reacts and keeps up with Law

• Can react to some of Gear 4 Luffy's attacks

Boa Hancock:

Overall:

• Amassed a bounty of 1,659,000,000

• Is the empress of an entire island

• Can petrify seemingly almost every male character

• Managed to sneak Luffy into Impel Down and outsmart Momonga and Magellan

• Scared the likes of Sengoku, Aokiji and Blackbeard

Strength:

• Is said to be as strong as she is beautiful

• Can bypass durability

• Smashes the head of a Pacifista

• Breaks Smoker's jutte with a kick

• Can easily break stone

• Can keep up with Smoker

• Took out most of Blackbeard's crew

Durability:

• Tanked a hit from Blackbeard

• Managed to stay conscious while being choked by Blackbeard

Speed:

• Blackbeard didn't want to let her go in fear that she'd turn him to stone

Jinbe

Overall:

• Amassed a bounty of 1,100,000,000

• Escaped Impel Down

• Had zero fear when facing Big Mom

• Was in the military before becoming a pirate

Strength:

• Slams Luffy against a rock, cracking it and holding him in place

• Lands an attack on Sanji and Luffy

• Easily takes down Caribou

• Clashed with and defeated Who’s Who

• Stronger underwater

Durability:

• Blocked an attack from base Who’s Who

• Tanked an attack from Who’s Who

• Fought Ace over 5 days and ended at a stalemate

• Tanks Akainu’s attacks

Speed:

• Kept up with Gear 2 Luffy

• Intercepted Katakuri’s attack

• Dodged Prometheus’ Heavenly Fire

• Faster underwater

Gecko Moria

Overall:

• Amassed a bounty of 320,000,000

• Was once a rival to Kaido

• Stole the corpses of Captain John, Ryuma and Oars

• Captured the shadows of Luffy, Zoro, Sanji and Robin

Strength:

• Clashed with a young Kaido

• A punch in Shadow’s Asgard split his ship, which is the largest ship in the world

Durability:

• Tanked an attack from Luffy

• Got back up after being attacked by Nightmare Luffy

• After absorbing a few shadows, he took an attack from Jinbe

Speed:

• Can swap places with his shadows before Sanji or Robin can land an attack on him

Mihawk

Overall:

• Has the title of the World’s Strongest Swordsman

• Is known as the Marine Hunter

• Amassed a bounty of 3,590,000,000

• Implied to be stronger than Shanks

Strength:

• Clashed with Shanks multiple times

• Completely stops a charging Zoro

• Creates an enormous wave of water with a simple swing

• Clashed with Vista

• Slices a glacier in half from hundreds of meters away

• Casually cuts Daz Bones

Durability:

• Completely unharmed after the events of Marineford

Speed:

• Reacts to bullets and deflects them

• Keeps up with Gear 2 Luffy

• Keeps up with Vista

Bartholomew Kuma

Overall:

• Amassed a bounty of 296,000,000

• Freed an entire island of slaves

• Fought alongside the Revolutionary Army

Strength:

• Lifted a large stone slab with one hand

• Comparable if not stronger than the Pacifistas

• Landed an attack on Saturn

Durability:

• Tanked his own Ursa Shock

• Sanj’s leg broke after kicking him

• Tanked Ivankov’s attacks

• Defended the Sunny for 2 years

Speed:

• Appears behind Zoro unnoticed

• Dodges Gear 2 Luffy’s attacks

• Reacts to Ivankov’s Galaxy Wink

• Claims to repel air at the speed of light

• Laser beams are the same as Kizaru’s

Weaknesses

Crocodile

Like all devil fruit users, Crocodile is weak to seawater and seastone as they drain his power and he is unable to swim.

Crocodile is also weak to liquids in general. His logia fruit makes it so regular attacks can't hit him but if they are coated in a liquid such as water or blood, he will get harmed.

Haki attacks will also bypass his logia intangibility 

Doflamingo

Like all devil fruit users, Doflamingo is weak to seawater and seastone as they drain his power and he is unable to swim.

Boa Hancock

Like all devil fruit users, Boa Hancock is weak to seawater and seastone as they drain her power and she is unable to swim.

If her opponents have no lust towards her or don’t find her cute, then her Mero Mero Mellow attack won’t petrify them

Jinbe

He is weaker on land than on water as he cannot use some of his attacks

Gecko Moria

Like all devil fruit users, Gecko Moria is weak to seawater and seastone as they drain his power and he is unable to swim.

Shadow Asgard is a temporary form that is easy to hit

Zombies possessed by a shadow will die if the owner of the shadow dies

Shadows will return to their owner if they are afflicted with salt

Mihawk:

There are none lmao

Bartholomew Kuma:

Like all devil fruit users, Kuma is weak to seawater and seastone as they drain his power and he is unable to swim.

Verdict

7th - Gecko Moria. Moria unfortunately just doesn’t hold up to the rest of the warlords. He relies solely on his devil fruit to attack but without regular folk around, he’s just a sitting duck that’ll keep constantly swapping with his shadow clone. His physicals aren’t that great and he can’t even activate Shadow Asgard. Maybe if this was an army battle, he’d stand way more of a chance, but Moria is unfortunately last place.

6th - Crocodile. Croco boy just isn’t doing enough in this fight. While he does have some pretty powerful attacks, the other warlords just have more powerful attacks. He may have clashed with Doffy and Mihawk, but they have both displayed larger feats than what Crocodile clashed with. Another issue is haki. Crocodile and Moria are the only two combatants to have zero haki confirmation, meaning they have no way of safely blocking attacks or dealing enough damage. However, If Crocodile gets some feats pretty soon, I’m certain he’d be able to climb pretty high. 

5th - Bartholomew Kuma. Kuma isn’t weak by any means, he’s a much more powerful version of the pacifistas, but he just doesn’t do enough. The other warlords have feats to show that they can take down pacifistas by themselves and they’re fast enough to avoid Kuma’s heavier attacks. Although, he does pack quite a punch as striking Saturn across the face with his haki is quite impressive

4th - Doflamingo. This was a tough choice between Doffy and 3rd place but I think Doffy is simply just weaker. He does have a wide variety of attacks and can heal himself but he is physically weaker than the other warlords and he isn’t as fast as them. He does seem to be more durable than 3rd place but durability doesn’t matter much to them

3rd - Boa Hancock. Boa scales to Blackbeard which puts her pretty high in the verse in terms of speed and durability. Her Mero Mero Mellow attack can probably petrify Moria and Doffy and maybe even Crocodile. Her ability to turn people to stone allows her to somewhat bypass durability which is why Doffy’s higher durability doesn’t matter too much. Her snake can also assist her in further sensing things and it can pull her out of the water if she ever does fall into it

2nd - Jinbe. It was a tough choice but Jinbe has to be second. If we were just ranking the warlords based on strength alone, he’d probably be lower but they’re all fighting each other and Jinbe literally perfectly counters all but Mihawk. Seriously, his control over water gives him a major advantage here, but let's not forget he’s able to dodge attacks from Prometheus and Katakuri, and straight up throws Big Mom over his shoulder. His defeat of Who’s Who was no small feat either. He is extremely powerful and has fought tough opponents and earned his place at number two.

1st - Mihawk. To the surprise of no one, Mihawk is at the top. He only has feats pre timeskip but they are not bad at all. He’s able to clash with the Whitebeard pirates and manages to react to bullets and even a point blank Muggy Ball. However, the biggest things he has going for him are his rivalry with Shanks and his title. His title definitely puts him near the top of the verse as being the World’s Strongest Swordsman means a lot. He is also able to clash with Shanks who we know to be near the top of the verse, meaning Mihawk has to be somewhere close by. 

Mihawk may have been the predictable answer, but I hope you enjoyed the analysis for the other warlords.
